Nicholas Henderson, the Founder of Whighams had a vision. That vision, created 34 years ago, was to establish an ambient wine bar and restaurant offering the highest levels of service; combining the finest of wines with fresh and enticing menus showcasing the very best of seasonal, locally sourced, Scottish produce.

Today, Whighams is an Edinburgh institution and delights both regular and loyal customers as well as first-time visitors to the city. From our cosy, unique cellars oozing with character and history to our warm and open bar and dining areas, you’re sure to find a favourite spot to relax and unwind.
